How to measure your iXXXi ring

IXXXi JEWELRY offers different base ring sizes to choose from. In addition to different base ring sizes, there are also different widths and colors. If you want to learn how to measure your ring size or just want to make sure, use this handy guide. You can also find tips here on how to control your fill ring size.

What ring sizes are there?

The iXXXi JEWELRY offers different ring sizes. There are typical sizes of a whole and a half ring from size 16 to 21. The smallest size is 16, the next one comes 16.5, 17, 17.5, etc. In a diagram it looks like this.

The size of the measurement is based on the internal size of the ring.

The widths of the iXXXi JEWELRY rings range from 8 to 16 mm.

What size ring ring do I need depending on my base ring?

For the fill rings we advise the following: Do you have a full size base ring? (Size 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 or 21) Then you have the same size fill ring. If you have a half size base ring (Size 16.5, 17.5, 18.5, 19.5, 20.5 or 21.5) then you need a half size larger for the fill rings. For example: If you have a base ring in size 16.5, then you need size 17 for the fill rings. You have size 17.5 in the base ring, then you need size 18 for fill ring etc.

How do I measure my own ring size?

You can use some methods for measurement.

Method 1: Print the size of your ring

This method is convenient when you want to compare different sizes. Through this link you will find a number of documents at the bottom of the page that you can print at home. There are all the different ring widths in these documents. Sizes are displayed with strips that you can cut.

Cut the tape to the size you want to try and wrap it around your finger. When the striped part is completely covered, this is the right one for you. Keep in mind that the strip also fits over your joint, as this is the widest part of your finger.

Method 2: Print your ring

This is useful when you want to measure the current size of your ring. Print the document in this appendix. Use your own ring that suits you (preferably a wide ring). Insert the ring into the printed ring molds and check the size that fits exactly. This is the ring size of the iXXXi JEWELRY.

Method 3: use a ruler

Another way to measure the size of your ring is to use a ruler. Use a ring of your own that fits well and place it on the ruler. This way you can measure the inside of the ring. The number of millimeters is the ring size iXXXi.

We always recommend that you measure the size of your ring at an iXXXi dealer before purchasing. This is the best way to check if the ring size fits and you are comfortable with the width of the ring.

Different ring sizes in summer / winter

Did you know that you can have multiple ring sizes for one finger? Depending on whether it is summer or winter, your hands may swell due to heat or shrink slightly from the cold temperatures. Most people have a larger ring size during the summer, as opposed to a smaller ring size during the winter. This is due to the fact that heat or cold can change the circumference of the fingers. This is why many call them “summer” and “winter rings”. The circumference of your fingers can also be altered by your hormone levels or fluid retention.

Therefore, always check if your hands are not too hot or cold when buying a ring, as this can affect the size of your ring. It is best to measure your size at room temperature.

The wider the ring, the tighter the fit

IXXXi rings are wider than standard rings. Therefore, most people tend to have 1 or 1.5 size on the iXXXi rings, compared to their standard ring size. If you usually have a size 17, for the iXXXi you will probably have a size 18 or 18.5. When wearing loose rings, your hands and fingers may also become warm during the day. This causes your rings to fit more tightly during the day, so we always advise you to place the iXXXi ring on an iXXXi dealer. This way you can control which size you need and try which size fits you best.
